Right, a new day has dawned and all is right with the world, so far. I'm not in a particularly controversial frame of mind, BUT, i do think we should do something about China. India and China both have huge quantities of carbon emisions, just because they have such large populations, but probably also because they have governments more corrupt than ours, althought our record here in Canada cannot be said to be shiny clean anymore.
I do wish, thought, that we could curb the import of all that junk that is just piling up in our dump sites, which by the way, are overflowing.
We need less stuff, and more quality.
Also, perhaps we should boycott the games in Beiging. With reference to the kidnapping of children and truning them into slaves. The parents reported their disappearance to the police, who did nothing until someone posted the story on the internet. A foreign correspondent got hold of the story and only then were the disappearances investigated. What they found was horrific. Children as young as eight, starved and beaten, slave labourers,working in brick factories.

These sort of things will be kept quiet when the Olympics come to China. Thwy are building reactors and all sorts of things, but we turn a blind eye.
